The artist acknowledges that Ottawa-Gatineau, where she lives and works, is on the unceeded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe Nation. With deep respect, she recognizes the indigenous people who have stewarded the land for generations and she expresses her gratitude for being able to work and create on this land.
